Double degree: two diplomas, improved level of English and great experience

The opportunity to be enrolled in one study programme while getting two university diplomas at the end of your studies, a Czech one and a foreign one, is tempting for many students at Palacky University and worldwide. Indeed, the double degree agreements generally refer to enhancement of language skills and unique study experience from various academic backgrounds with multidisciplinary overlaps. Such option is open to students following the Law Faculty’s follow-up specialized Master programme in European Studies with an emphasis on European Law. The double degree is organized jointly with the Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg and it allows students from Palacky University to graduate with a diploma that initiates them to the Austrian labour market.

In order to fulfil the double degree criteria for the Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg, it is necessary for the students to spend one semester at the respective university, successfully complete all its study requirements for the given semester, complete two of the compulsory courses from the study plan of the foreign institution, and lastly, write a diploma thesis in the English language. The programme is also accessible as it is possible to integrate the stay in Salzburg within an Erasmus+ framework, whereby a financial support is available. The same process, although vice-versa, applies to students of the university in Salzburg who come to the Czech Republic more and more often.
