LL.M. International and European Law

Programme structure

The LL.M. International and European Law is a full-time study programme giving to all students a profound knowledge of international and EU law. Moreover it enables them to further focus on various aspects of both international and European law depending on their preferences. The tuition is held by experienced full-tenured academics as well as experts from partner universities and various international institutions. The study programme includes two terms of regular courses (from end of September till end of June); the third term (from September to December of the subsequent year) is dedicated to the completion of LL.M. final paper.

Target Group

Recent graduates, individuals who are confronted with questions of international and European law in their professional life.

Admission requirements

Degree in law or similar field of study (European studies, economics, politics)

How to apply

  1. Complete the online Application Form
  2. Together with filling in the online application form, upload and submit the following documents:
  • Structured Curriculum Vitae (signed)
  • Certified copy of minimum Bachelor´s degree diploma in law or similar field of study
  • Proof of English language competence (CERF level B2) to be proven by English language certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, CPE) or documents about previous university studies in English language


Students will get awarded with 90 points for the whole programme (45 points for obligatory courses and final paper seminar, 20 points for elective courses and 25 points for final paper defence).

Obligatory courses: Public International Law I., Public International Law II., Constitutional Law of the European Union, EU Economic Law, Final Paper Seminar

Elective courses (students select 4 of them): History of EU Integration, EU Institutions, Transition to Democracy, International and European Moot Court, Law of Armed Conflict and Use of Force, International Economic Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Private International Law, EU External Relations Law, Law of International Organizations, International Human Rights Law, International and European Environmental Law, European Civil Procedure
