How to apply
The application procedure requires a little time, effort, and attention. Before you apply, please make sure that the Master’s programme meets your aspirations.
Application period: 1 November 2024 – 15 June 2025
- Complete the online Application Form at: admission.upol.cz
- After filling in the online application form, upload and submit the following documents:
- Structured Curriculum Vitae (signed)
- Certified copy of Bachelor´s degree diploma in law or a similar field of study. You are also eligible to apply during the last year of your current study programme, provided you obtain your final degree and submit a certified copy before 30 September of the respective year.
- Official academic transcripts and certificates from the University (or a certified copy)
- Letter of Motivation
- Letter of Recommendation – from a professor or an academic who can assess the applicant’s ability and motivation to enrol in the program
- Proof of English language competence (CEFR level B2) – to be proven by English language certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, CPE) or documents about previous university studies in the English language
- Passport Copy of a valid passport or European ID card – a photocopy of the page with a photograph and personal data
Requirements for document certification are different depending on the country where the document was issued. Please study thoroughly information available here.
All the documents stated above (accompanied by a certified translation to Czech or English, if not originally in one of these languages) must be submitted by the deadline also as officially authenticated hard copies to the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law:

- By the application deadline pay online the application fee of CZK 1,800.
Payment for the admission process is a required step for the successful submission of the application form. The preferred method of payment is online via card. You have to pay the fee for the procedures related to the admission process immediately after selection of a study program or field of study. Information regarding the method of payment and payment details is in the online application form in the Payment Overview part. The fee is not refundable.
Applicants who fail to pay or incorrectly or incompletely submit their payment within the deadline (15 June 2025) will not be transferred to the admission procedure database. The date for the online interview with the admission committee was set to 19 June 2025.
The decision on admission is based primarily on documents submitted by applicants; if necessary, a video call interview with the applicant may be required.
Tuition fees and scholarships
The tuition fee is 3,600 EUR per academic year (2 semesters).
The tuition fee is payable at once at the beginning of the respective academic year, usually by the end of September. At a student´s request, the total amount of the tuition fee may be divided into several smaller instalments.
The tuition fee does not include the cost of books, course materials, living expenses, or health insurance.
Scholarships from Palacký University
Faculty of Law Excellence Scholarship
The Faculty of Law aims to attract excellent students, regardless of their origin and financial ability. The Faculty of Law invites outstanding students to apply for the Excellence Scholarship. The maximum award is 150,000 CZK (approx. € 5,800) and the scholarship lasts a maximum of one year (two semesters). Depending on the amount of the scholarship granted, it can cover the tuition fee and partially also living costs. The Faculty of Law Excellence Scholarship may be granted repeatedly.
The deadline for submission of the application is 15 July.
The mandatory requirements for the application for the grant are:
- Structured CV
- One letter of recommendation from a university faculty member
- Summary of relevant professional activities
- Motivation letter
All the documents stated above must be in Czech or English and must be submitted to the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law:
